Matthew Gonzalez, M.S., CSCS

Ph.D. Student

Matthew is a doctoral student in the Translational Science PhD program at UTSA under the mentorship of Dr. Sandor Dorgo. Matthew’s research is in the field of strength and conditioning and sport science. More specifically, Matthew’s current research is examining the role inter-limb asymmetries play in athletic performance as well as risk of injury. Matthew also has experience conducting research with various populations such as: elite powerlifters, older adults, collegiate football and track athletes, recreationally active athletes, and professional martial artists. Matthew is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
