The Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) at The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Nursing offers well-planned, innovative program opportunities for life-long learning in the area of continuing professional education to meet the needs for the nursing community throughout the nation.

The Department of Lifelong Learning programs are based on the belief that learning is a lifelong, self-directed process encompassing the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. The department serves as a catalyst for providing exciting, accessible, professional, state of the art, quality continuing education programs for enhancing the professional growth and development of local, regional, national and international nurses.

To support the educational needs, the department staff promotes education collaboration and operations with other local, regional and national organizations. We host regional, national, and international nursing conferences whenever possible.

University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

We will update and maintain the DLL web site, so that program information will be readily available to you. If you have any questions, would like additional information about these changes or have recommendations, please feel free to contact us.
